Iran, enjoying its rank of 10th among the biggest steelmaking countries in the world, has announced the production of 30.252 million tons of semis out of its total output of 52.33 million for finished and semi-finished steel, up 11% YOY.
Out of above total, Billet and bloom made up 18.805 million tons and Slab output made 11.447 million tons to record a 12% and 10% YOY rise respectively.
As most of the semis are being used in the domestic market, during 2020, only 2.07 million tons of slab was exported.
